Quarterly Checklists - Colorado

ATTACHED IS OUR QUARTERLY CHECKLISTS THAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN OUR MEMBERSHIP PLANS!

Q1 - (winter maintenance) December - February

  • Change air filters 

  • Clean dryer vent

  • Check electrical outlets and switches to ensure proper functionality 

  • Change batteries in smoke detectors 

  • Clean gutters

  • Change filters on furnace 

  • Clean Kitchen Sink Disposal

  • Clean Range Hood Filters

  • Run Water and Flush Toilets in Unused Spaces.

  • Check Your Water Softener and Add Salt (If Needed).

  • Check all locks and deadbolts on your doors and windows;

  • Check caulking around showers and bathtubs;

  • Remove shower heads and clean sediment.

  • Check all toilets to ensure they are not loose, tighten if needed. 

  • Dishwasher filter cleaning

  • Clean/vacuum refrigerator coils 

  • Change refrigerator filter

  • Clean washing machine drain pump

 

Q2 - (Spring maintenance) March - May

  • Change all air filters 

  • Switch fan to push air upwards 

  • Prime and check sprinkler system 

  • Direct gutter drainage away from foundation 

  • Check window and door screens for rips and tears 

  • Exterior service of home - repair any damage that may pose moisture intrusion

  • Clean gutters 

  • Pressure wash exterior of home

  • Clear vegetation around HVAC condenser 

  • Install window screens

  • Check trees for interference with electric lines.

  • Clean aerators on faucets;

  • Clean washing machine drain pump

  • Clean range hood filter

  • Tighten any handles or doorknobs;

  • Check all toilets to ensure they are not loose, tighten if needed. 

  • Dishwasher filter cleaning

 

Q3- (summer maintenance) - June - August

  • Roof tune up and once over to be ready for hurricane season 

  • Change air filters

  • Web brush exterior of home

  • Home survival kit (batteries, flashlights, etc) 

  • Check and replace any burnt out lightbulbs 

  • Clean dryer vent 

  • Clean Gutters

  • Clean Range Hood Filters

  • Clean/vacuum refrigerator coils 

  • Once over on decks - check for nail pops, secure loose boards, and check for worn boards

  • Check all toilets to ensure they are not loose, tighten if needed

  • Dishwasher filter cleaning

  • Clean washing machine drain pump

  • Check all toilets to ensure they are not loose, tighten if needed

  • Test Garage Door Auto-Reverse Feature

  • Clean washing machine drain pump

 

Q4 (fall maintenance) - September - November

  • Blow leafs off of roof and patios 

  • Blow out spinkler systems

  • Clean gutters 

  • Roof tune up

  • Check heat to ensure functioning 

  • Change air filters 

  • Check attic insulation 

  • Clean range hood filter

  • Check window caulking to ensure no leaky windows 

  • Ensure weatherproofing of exterior pipes for water and hvac

  • Switch fan direction to push air downwards 

  • Remove garden house from faucets 

  • Drain sprinkler system 

  • Check fireplace to make sure no sediments, ensure damper is functioning. 

  • Remove window screens 

  • Check all toilets to ensure they are not loose, tighten if needed. 

  • Dishwasher filter cleaning

  • Clean washing machine drain pump

  • Drain sediments from water heater to increase lifespan Test Your Water Heater’s Pressure Relief Valve

  • Test Garage Door Auto-Reverse Feature

  • Check roof and driveway heaters
